Having a few hours between a long distance stopover flight, I travelled the periphery of the airport on foot. This was at the height of the financial crisis that had hit Dubai, forcing many ex-pats that had run into debt to drop everything and try to leave the country. Debts created by expensive lifestyles and job redundancy. Rather than risk being thrown in debtors jail they left their over means possessions behind including many of the cars here abandoned at the airport terminal car park.
There ars have Graffiti writen on them, but not by their owners, unless they had been lived in before there departure.
